If you have a wedding coming up then money will no doubt be on your mind as you seek to try and give yourselves the best day possible, without breaking the bank. Each year the average cost of a wedding rises as more and more businesses look to cash in on these spectacular occasions. Thankfully, there are ways in which you can save money on your wedding, without compromising on quality, and here are just a few tips to help you shave some cost off your big day.

Bulk Buying

Bulk buying is always the best way to save money on whatever you need for you wedding and with so many people to attend to, it makes the perfect sense. It is not just food, drinks and decorations which you can buy in bulk that will help you, you can also look to buy wholesale fireworks online, the perfect way to set your wedding off with a bang, without having to pay the high street price. Whatever bulk supplies you will be needing, make sure that you buy them wholesale either online, or at a wholesalers.

DIY

Much of the cost that comes with weddings is related to service, other people doing things for you. Whilst there are areas where a professional is required, there is much of the wedding that you and your friends or family can tackle yourself. Things like making invitations and wedding favours, wedding decor (which can even be used in your home afterwards), organising a playlist instead of paying a DJ, or even relying on a family member to cover the catering, are all great ways of saving money. When you are planning what is needed for your wedding, ask yourself whether or not you, or someone you know could complete each task, before you decide to involve professionals.

Wedding Planner

Whilst a wedding planner comes with a cost, it is worth noting that as part of the cost which you will pay, they can save you a great deal of money. Wedding planners organise weddings day-in/-day-out and this means that they have a huge list of contacts which they can draw on for great prices, promotions and deals for your wedding. A wedding planner more than pays for themselves when you include the amount of money that they can save you and employing one would be a great idea in your efforts to save money on your big day.

All in One

Having your wedding and the reception in the same location can really help you out in terms of saving money, and it is much cheaper than say getting married in a church, and then heading to a hotel for the party. The reason behind this is that many hotels and private venues, can offer a far better deal if you plan to get married and have the after-party on their premises.

There are many ways in which you can save money on your wedding, without shirking on the overall attraction, the key is creativity.
