There has been much said abut the reviews that are left online and whether or not they should be believed, in fact that is exactly why companies like topconsumereviews exist, to separate the wheat from the chaff so to speak. Unfortunately what is happening as a result of so many false reviews being left is that people are now stopping leaving reviews altogether, which completely defeats the object of having a review system in the first place. This is why we should all make a conscious effort to leave genuine reviews for products which we use, which we have bought and base them on our own experiences with the product.
When you do decide to leave a review, these are the key features which it should have.
Start to Finish
The first aspect of the review should be taken right from the very beginning of making the purchase, right through to opening the packaging and then on to the use of the product. People really want to know everything about what they are buying and that is why this aspect is so essential.
Photos
Photos are always a really nice feature of a review if you are able to upload them. Above all else this will give people a genuine idea of the size of the product, when compared to your hand for example. Naturally if there is something wrong with the product then you should also feature a photo of that, so that people can get an idea as to whether they too would be frustrated with that particular aspect.
Use
Mentioning how you use a particular product is also very important because it may well be that you are reviewing something based on different parameters than someone else. For example it may be that you buy a new vacuum to get those hairs off the carpet that your golden retriever keeps on shedding. Now if the vacuum doesn’t do what you want it to then leaving a bad review may not be the best option unless you mention the fact that you have a dog, or even the breed of dog. Somebody may read that negative review and decide not to purchase the item because of it, even though it may be good for their uses.
Spelling and Grammar
Unfortunately many of those businesses who pay companies to have great reviews left for them will use non-native speakers and that will often mean poor grammar and spelling. If your review is poor written in this regard then people may very well think that it is not genuine and therefore discard it, when of course the review which you have put together is completely genuine.
Bear these tips in mind when it comes to leaving reviews and most importantly ensure that you are actively adding positive and negative reviews for any products which you end up using, in order to make the internet a better place.
