You Can Still Use Your Handwriting To Make Invitations

Lifestyle

12 Sep

Over the years, we received several types of invitations. It seems like people used all kinds of invitations to ensure uniqueness and appeal. Invitation cards came in different sizes and designs. Some people ditched invitation cards and used electronic invites instead. The worst part is that invitations these days are through text messages and chats only.

It is a good idea to go back to the time when we received basic invitation cards. Instead of printing the message, the person inviting you is using handwriting. You can also do the same thing. There is no rule regarding the use of invitation cards. You are inviting others, so you have the choice of how to do it, and what method to use.

Benefits of handwriting

The good thing about the use of handwriting is that you are taking people back to a time when printed invitations were not yet widespread. They become nostalgic about it, and they will most likely attend your event, whether it is a birthday or a wedding.

Recipients feel special

When you individually write on the cards, the recipients will feel special. For you to take time to write the details with your hand is extraordinary. It is even more special for weddings. Given that you are attending to a lot of more information, and still have enough time to write everything on the invitation card is unique. You can guarantee their attendance once you write everything by hand.

You can double check the guests

Sometimes, when you print the invitations and send them out, you can’t figure out if you missed someone, or you invited someone who should not be there. However, when you write the names of the guests by hand, you will know who exactly is on the list. When you missed someone, you can immediately write the name of that person. Controlling the number of guests is crucial especially for major events like weddings.

You can use special paper

If you are using handwriting for the names of the guests and other details, you might as well use personalised correspondence cards. They are perfect for invitations since they are customised. You can design the paper, so they look the way you want them. You can also add other details to make it even more interesting.

Don’t be pressured with the idea of using modern gimmicks for invitations. You don’t even have to use e-vites so that you will look fresh and contemporary. Also, if handwriting seems traditional, you can still use it if you feel like it will appeal to your guests. Make sure you have good writing before deciding to go with this process.

In the end, it is your event. You can decide on the details in any way you want. If you feel like it is appropriate for the event, and the people celebrating it, you can have it your way. Your invitation will mean a lot to you, and the people are attending the event.
