I’ve had so much pleasure trying out a wide variety of amazing tech over the past few months. Some of them were products recognizable to me, while some had me discovering entirely new ground. I’ve made a list of my favorite tech gadgets – some of them the best in their class and some were products that impressed me the most. To me, the following five gadgets are the best of the best.
1. Beoplay H6 headphones
I fell in love with these as soon as I had my first listen. The sound they produce is accurate, no matter what type of music you like listening to. They are extremely comfortable to wear for hours at a time and don’t have a long twisted cable. I have them with me all the time, even on my desk at work! As far as I’m concerned Beoplay H6 headphones are the best on the market today – even if you’re not into wireless headphones.
2. Automatic Pro – my first choice in car tech accessory
If you’re a tech geek and not a car geek, then this gadget should be on your to-buy list. It’s a little dongle that plugs into the diagnostic port (in most cars since 1996), connects to a server after a short setup and then sends trip and diagnostic information while you drive. You can retrieve the information through Automatic Pro’s app and get insights about your driving capabilities as well as the health of your vehicle. The data is easy to access and understand and the insights extremely useful, especially for non-car geeks!
3. Chipolo
Launched in South Africa, this cute little gadget is definitely a must-have if you are constantly misplacing your phone. The Chipolo is simple to use; link it to your phone via Bluetooth and you won’t ever have to run from room to room trying to find your phone again, when you’re in a hurry. Shake this little gadget and your phone will buzz, making it easy to locate in an instant! The Chipolo is small enough to add to your keying, so you will always have it handy whenever you’ve misplaced your phone.
4. Mattel Aristotle
This is a great and extremely useful tech gadget if you have children and a baby at home. The Mattel Aristotle is like having an Amazon Echo and a Smart baby monitor all rolled into one. The Smart voice-activated speaker works in conjunction with a companion camera and is really useful at helping with tasks like buying more diapers, soothing your baby when it’s crying, encouraging your bigger kids to mind their manners, or even help them to learn a foreign language!
5. Netatmo Healthy Home Coach for cleaner lungs
If you’re like me and live in a big city, then the chances are good that the air you breathe in every day is doing some type of damage to your health. Some areas of a city are worse than others, but how do you know if where you live is causing you to become unhealthy? This is where the Netatmo Healthy Home Coach comes in handy. It identifies the quality of air, temperature and humidity where you live. It also detects the level of noise pollution at home and provides good advice on how you can create a healthier living environment.
