7 Gift Ideas to Brighten Someone’s Day

Lifestyle

2 Dec

From time to time, everyday life can become stressful and overwhelming. During these moments, it can be really uplifting to know that you have people around you that care for you and who are there to support you.

If you have noticed that someone you know and care about is struggling through a difficult period, then why not consider doing something which will help to cheer them up and show them that you are thinking of them? If you’re unsure of what you could do, here are seven simple but effective ideas of gifts that you could give someone in order to brighten their day.

Fresh Flowers

Even if you don’t know a person that well, a bouquet of flowers is one of the best ways to show someone that you are thinking of them, and that you wanted to do something nice for them. Gifts don’t have to be lavish or expensive, as it is the thought that counts and flowers are one of the best ways to bring some positivity into someone’s’ life. Additionally, if you want to make someone really happy, why not find out what their favorite flowers are and make sure to get them something special.

Buy them a coffee

It might seem like a simple idea, but if you’re in a rush and are just looking for a small token to show someone that you care about their wellbeing, then bringing them a cup of coffee is far from the worst idea. Whether you are looking to help your partner have a good start to their morning or want to help someone at work feel happier, finding out what their favorite pick-me-up beverage is, and treating them to one, is a simple but thoughtful idea that is bound to make them smile.

Buy them an experience

Life can be stressful and tiring, so sometimes all someone needs is a day out so that they can get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, in order to indulge in some rest and recuperation. Offering someone the chance to step away from their daily stresses is important for their health and wellbeing, and they are bound to be grateful for the opportunity. So, whether it’s a spa day, a manicure date, or just a walk out in nature so that they can get some fresh air, being able to share in a relaxing moment with someone will make for a wonderful gift.

A gift basket

If you’re unsure of one specific thing that you can get someone, then why not think about getting them a few different things instead? A gift basket makes for the perfect thoughtful gift because you can choose a selection of well thought out items to put in the collection.

For example, you might get someone a basket full of self-care items, like Epsom salts and calming herbal teas. Additionally, beautiful crystals are hot gifts that would make the perfect addition to a gift basket, such as amethyst or rose quartz, which are known for their positive energies.

Give them a handmade gift

Do you have a talent for DIY projects or creating things? Everyone can buy something from the store, but if you really want to show someone that you care, you might consider making them a special something instead.

One of the best benefits of handmade gifts is that you can tailor them to the individual; plus, you can make something that fits in with your individual skillset. So, whether it’s a card, a piece of jewelry or a candle, perhaps you might try your hand at making them a gift of your own creation.

A personal touch

If you’re trying to find a gift for a loved one, then why not get them something that has a more personal touch. For example, you might consider getting them a framed print of a photograph that depicts a precious memory.

Run an errand for them

Gifts don’t always have to be a tangible item that is bought or made; they can also be acts of kindness. If you know that someone is struggling with all of the responsibilities that they have to face in their day to day lives, then you might consider helping them out with a couple of their responsibilities, to take away some of the causes of their stress. For example, you might help them with some of their workload if they are a colleague, or if you want to help a friend or family member, you might consider looking after their children while they have a quiet night to themselves.
