Vardzia

Another remarkable place to make your visit is Vardzia which is a cave monastery located near to Aspindza in the South of Georgia. The entire ambiance and sight of the place resemble the movie set of Lord of the Rings. The underground monastery was constructed back in the 12th century and was ruled by King Tamar. She was the first woman to be crowned as a King in the history of Georgia. The monastery enjoyed being a hidden place until a huge earthquake stroke it and destroyed it. Chiatura

Chaitura is not like a regular or commonplace you visit during a vacation. It is located between deep gorges and steep valleys and was once a mining town of Georgia. It is relatively a new discovered place and was found in the late 19th century. The most important attraction of the place is the cable cars which were installed in the year 1954 by the Stalinist Government. Every corner of the town is connected and accessed with the cable car making it have the epithet of “the cable car city.” The place is different even with its ambiance and many refer it as the ghost city of Soviet Empire.
